At Dixie Commons Animal Hospital, servicing Bunnell, Daytona North, Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach and Palm Coast Florida, we understand that your pets are an important part of your life. We are a family owned and operated business.  Our highly trained staff, including Dr. Janet Brown, her husband Keith, and daughter Katie,  will treat you and your pets with professionalism and compassion while providing you with the very best veterinary care available. Our full-service practice offers a variety of services intended to promote your pets overall health and longevity. In addition to Veterinary Services we also provide boarding and grooming.

We are always looking for ways to improve our services to our clients with cutting edge technology.  For example, we recently purchased new IDEXX LaserCyte® DX, and a Catalyst One™ chemistry analyzer.  These state-of-the-art machines improve our diagnoses, surgeries, and other facets of our operation in lightning fast time.  The equipment transitions well between our brand new Macbook Pros, iPads and iPhone 7 Apple products.

We are very excited about a new project that is coming to reality in 2017.  We are planning on something big that will allow us to enlarge our services to the general public in a most creative way.  Please stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

  • Dr. Janet Brown

    Practice Owner

    Dr. Janet Brown was born and raised in Long Island, New York and is a graduate of Massapequa High School.  After receiving her Bachelors™ Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, she traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Alaska and Hawaii.  She went on to earn her DVM from the University of Parma in Parma, Italy.  In her 28 years of being a veterinarian, she has practiced in Staten Island, NY; New Bedford, MA; Greenwich, CT; Aiken, SC; Fox Chapel, PA; and in Central Florida. Dr. Brown and husband Keith opened her practice in 2011.
